Limits

Limits are per client. MCP allows 240 calls a minute (hosted assistants share addresses). The daily free tier counts REST and MCP calls together and resets at midnight UTC; over it, REST answers 429 free_tier_exhausted and MCP a tool error, both naming the reset time and the paid route. Responses under it carry X-TK-Free-Remaining.

AI assistants and API: 20 calls a day free per client, counted together, then $0.02 a call (the paid lane is in testing; the free tier applies meanwhile).
