Check a Tektolo result

Tektolo's deposit summaries and statements carry a line like "Checked with tektolo.com (ruleset …). Verify: …". Paste the code or the whole link to see whether Tektolo issued it, which rules it used, and whether those rules are still current.

This site isn't set up to sign results yet, so it can't check verify codes.

It is on the document, after "Verify:".

How the check works

  • Tektolo signs every result with a private key that only its servers hold. The public keys are published at /.well-known/tektolo-signing-keys.json, so anyone can check a signature, and no one else can make a code that passes.
  • A code names the tool, the ruleset and the engine that produced the result, and the day it was issued. It carries none of the document's figures: no names, addresses, amounts or the dates someone entered. So a code on its own doesn't reveal anyone's situation.
  • Nothing you check here is stored. A summary you paste is compared in memory and discarded with the answer.
  • A passing check means Tektolo computed this result with these rules. It does not mean Tektolo takes a side, and it is not legal advice.
  • Every ruleset version, and what it changed, is listed in the rules changelog.

Developers: POST /v1/verify answers the same question as JSON (see the API schema).
